Service Offerings

Linpro AS, as the main contributor to the development of Varnish, offers a variety of different services to customers both in Norway and abroad.

Linpro offers a variety of Varnish services, including a Service agreement (support and maintenance), installation and training. Support covers the customers' running requirements for consultation and assistance during installation, diagnostics, configuration and managed operations. Maintenance includes running product error corrections as well as further development.

Varnish is Open Source and Linpro is responsible for developing and improving Varnish. Through consultation, installation, training, support and maintenance, Linpro will ensure that Varnish is developed and improved.

Linpro has recently established a Help Desk function, responsible for all internal and external follow-up of support and maintenance agreements. The Help Desk has access to technical resources related to both managed operations and development. Customers with an agreement including direct access to Varnish developers, will be directed to the developers through our Help Desk.

Surveys in Norway and other countries show that lacking support and professional services has been reasons why many companies hesitate to use Open Source.
